The biggest ship in a bottle ever built was displayed on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square last year. It was created by Yinka Shonibare and is a scale model of Nelson's flag ship victory with traditional African textiles displayed as the sails. A public appeal, launched by the Art Fund to save the ship from being sold abroad, is nearing it's target. It is hoped to move the sculpture down the Thames to the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. See more about how the sculpture was created here.
